Our Story

How It All Started

Church at the Crossing officially launched in February 2009 with a vision to help people take next steps in their faith. We planted through a church planting organization, Association of Related Churches (ARC), becoming church plant number 88.

The church first gathered in the home of one of its founding members, creating an atmosphere of authentic community and passionate faith from the very start. As momentum built, we moved into various set-up-and-tear-down locations around the city - including AMC 6 and FunZone - carrying the same heart for ministry wherever we went.

As the church continued to grow, so did our need for space. That journey eventually led us to our current Sunday location at Dothan High School, where we’ve been able to expand our impact and serve the Wiregrass area more effectively.

Looking to the future, Church at the Crossing owns property right off Westgate Parkway, which will one day be the site of our permanent home - a space designed to help us reach more people and continue building a legacy of faith for generations to come.
Our story is still being written, and we believe the best is yet to come.

Association of Related Churches

Since 2001, the mission of ARC has been to train and resource church planters in starting new churches. New church plants and existing churches that partner with ARC in planting churches are legally autonomous, independently led, separately operated, and solely accountable to their leadership, independent of the ARC organization. We are grateful to each of these churches for their love of Jesus and for joining in the mission to plant new churches.
