NEXT STEPS

MOVEMENT MATTERS

At Church at the Crossing, we exist to participate in moments of grace.
And grace always leads to movement.

Next Steps is moving from one lane to an overarching theme for multiple ways to connect. It is not a single class or a program. It is the rhythm of formation in our church.
Everyone has a next step. It may not be the same step, but everyone has a next step to live out.

We do not believe discipleship is a class you complete. We believe it is formation over time.
Formation happens when what we believe, how we love, and how we live begin to align with who God created us to be. That kind of holistic transformation happens slowly, in community and with intention.

It always begins with one step.
No one stands still. Growth looks different for everyone. Movement matters.

CONNECT

The Starting Point

Everyone starts here.

No matter where you are on your journey, getting involved begins with Connect.

Connect is the first step into the life of our church. It is a space to meet our team and hear the story of Church at the Crossing.
It is not the destination. It is the doorway.

From Connect, your journey begins to take shape. No two journeys look exactly the same, but everyone takes a step.

HOW WE LIVE OUT NEXT STEPS

GATHER

Weekend Services

We gather weekly to center our lives around what matters most.

Prayer. Worship. Community. The Word of God.

Scripture reminds us not to forsake assembling together. Something powerful happens when the Church gathers. The Word of God has the power to bring dead things back to life. Faith is strengthened. Perspective shifts. Grace is encountered.

Gathering is not just about attendance. It is about alignment.
It is where we re-center our hearts and remember who we are.

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

Hebrews 10:24-25

GROW

Small Groups

You may be seen in crowds, but you are known at tables.

Small Groups create space where relationships are formed and deepened. It is where real conversations happen. It is where prayer becomes personal. It is where we are encouraged, challenged, and supported.

We were created for community.

Growth does not happen in isolation. It happens in proximity. Around tables. In living rooms. Through honest conversations.
Small Groups are where authentic community takes shape and where formation moves from theory to reality.

"46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."

Acts 2:46-47

SERVE

Serve Team

We believe every person has something meaningful and valuable inside them.

You are not invisible here. Your story matters. You are not behind. You do not have to have it all together to begin.
Serving is not about being perfect. It is not about having everything figured out. It is about being willing to take a step.

Our Serve Team is made up of people who are growing as they give. Ordinary people discovering that when they use what God has placed in them, something changes. As we serve, faith becomes active and community becomes personal. Confidence grows. Ownership deepens.

You are not stepping in to fill a gap. You are stepping in because there is more in you than you realize.
And when you step in, both you and others are changed.

"10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms."

1 Peter 4:10

GO

Participate

We exist to participate in moments of grace. “Go” is where we live that out.

Following Jesus is not limited to what happens when we gather. It forms how we live every day.
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” As His followers, we reflect His way in how we live, His truth in what we believe, and His life in how we love.
To participate means we do not just receive grace. We join God in extending it.

That might look like choosing integrity at work.
It might look like showing compassion to a neighbor.
It might look like generosity with your time and resources.
It might look like serving locally or engaging in outreach.
It might look like courage in everyday conversations.

We participate in moments of grace wherever we are.
Your workplace matters. Your home matters. Your relationships matter.

Participation is not for a select few.
It is the natural expression of a life being formed by Jesus.
